a bit about:
Daniela Cortes is a journalist who specializes in international issues that anyone from any country could easily identify with. From financing to human rights, Daniela looks for stories that could help or inspire.
Her early work as a journalist was as a live translator at W Radio Colombia and assistant for international production. In press, she got published by a local newspaper ADN in Bogota covering health issues.
She finished with Merit a PPA accredited MA Journalism at Roehampton University, developing the skills needed to understand and engage digital audiences in the UK and around the world. She enjoys investigative TV, radio debates and features.
She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English with experience living in different countries through her high-school years. Her language skills and her background are an advantage to explore and understand the world, it also gives her a unique voice and point of view.
In 2018 she won her first Pulitzer award at Model of United Nations MUNUM´18, representing The New York Times.
